Did you know that smoke detectors expire after just ten years? The buildup of dust that collects on the internal sensors can render older smoke detectors inoperable, even if they still make sounds when you press the TEST button. We will check the date codes on your detectors and offer any necessary upgrades to give you plenty of time to evacuate if you ever have a fire or carbon monoxide emergency.

GFCI outlets are designed to detect water and cut the power before you can get hurt. You can identify these outlets by their signature "TEST" and "RESET" buttons, and you should see them in your kitchen, bathrooms, unfinished basement, exterior, garage, and anywhere within six feet of a sink.
